Current Opportunities

Duties:

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living. Including but not limited to eating, bathing, grooming, mobility, incontinent care, personal hygiene.
  • Assist or remind residents to take their daily prescribed medication including offering reminders, organizing and passing medication, log in medication data.
  • Assist residents with transfer and mobility issues including the need for assistance in moving in and out o bed, chair, bathroom seat, walker, hoyer lift, gait belt.
  • Cook or prepare meals for residents based on residents service plan or weekly menu with attention to any dietary limitation.
  • Perform routine housekeeping duties to ensure the facility is clean and sanitary including residents laundry.
  • Must be able to respond to emergency situation including notifying and assisting emergency personnel by giving them resident records.
  • Proven experience in good practice of infection control principles by understanding the infectious process and modes of disease transmission.
  • Observe changes in residents health, mental, emotional, and dietary conditions. Report unusual changes right away to the administrator.
  • Experience in working with residents who are on hospice, or non-ambulatory or bedridden.
  • Must have a good attitude towards residents, families and other staff members.
  • Pickup, sort, and distribute residents mail every week.

Requirements

  • Experience working in assisted living facility or similar facilities.
  • Experience in organizing and passing medication to residents.
  • Proven knowledge of care giving techniques.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write basic English.
  • Must have current CPR First Aid Certification.
  • Must pass a Live Scan criminal background check.
  • Must submit current health report and TB test result.
  • Must have the knowledge and ability to care for the elderly. This includes physical ability and mental competence to perform work assignment.
  • Perform First Aid and responsible for relocation and contacting appropriate agencies in the event of an emergency.
  • Ability to transport residents to and from medical and dental appointments.
  • Completion of personnel Record (LIC 501)
  • High school diploma or G.E.D certificate
  • 6 – months of related experience
  • Experience working as CNA is a plus but not a mandatory.
  • Willing to work holidays, overtime, evenings, weekends
